Srem Folk Fest is an international parade festival of folklore that occurs during the first half of August, every year from August 9th to 13th in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia, under the patronage of Municipality of Sremska Mitrovica. The founder and organizer of the Festival is the Cultural Centre Sirmiumart. The aim of the Festival is the cherishing and promotion of international culture and tradition by singing, dancing, music and costumes—showing the citizens and tourists in Sremska Mitrovica the local culture and tradition of the host town and its surroundings, as well as the whole Serbian nation in general to guest ensembles, thereby making cooperative and friendly relations among ensembles on an international level.
